>lift tiresIt would wheelie under throttle in most gears. The key to not eating chains is to use a 'narrow wide' gearset and a clutched rear derailleur. I also like bikes where the chain goes below the rear swingarm/chainstay so you can change/service the chain w/o breaking a link. I also adjust the derailleur so it starts in 2nd gear.
Anyways, yeah BB setups are more stable (center mass) but I just meant hub motors require less rider input (no shifting, just throttle up and hold on). The ideal setup is to get the motor off the BB and up to the swingarm pivot point (pic rel) so it's all unsprung and you can get a larger diameter motor (torque scales w/ diameter) - but I don't trust my welding enough to build my own frame yet.
