>>1006162>thanks for the feedback guys, unfortunately I fell between sizes when i bought the bike and opted for a 56cm instead of the 58cm size. If the fitted stem is 100mm what length should I go up to? 120mm?Probably a good bet. Most people who get into bike fit end up with a big collection of stems, so expect to buy a few. You can use them forever though.
UNO brand stems on eBay are widely considered the best buy for stems when weight and price are considered
How about your saddle and seatpost? Do you have a setback saddle?
I'm a little tall for my bike and I actually like riding a seatpost with zero setback (because the higher the saddle goes, the farther back it sits). If I ride with a set-back seatpost, My hips are too bent to be comfortable.
The best position I've found (I'm 6'4 on a 58cm frame) Is a very low, stubby stem, and a very high, zero-setback saddle
Now I'm looking at this picture and thinking your fit might be close to perfect, actually.
The only way to find out is by riding and experimenting. Expect it to take a year or more of tweaking. Every cm counts.
