Sheldon convinced me to try to like leather saddles, and I've been through a handful of different makes along with a few different frames and bar setups over the years. I'm getting the advantages (I guess,) but I can never seem to escape this problem with sliding forward. It's just enough to have me putting just a little too much weight on my wrists, especially when I'm just spinning or cruising around, and rides sometimes end up being more of a drag on my upper body than my legs, which seems a bit...fucked to me. I know they're supposed to be a bit nose-up, but there's a subtle point where it becomes a taint-seeking bayonet when I'm out of the saddle, and it's never quite enough to keep the slide from happening. They would be great if not for this crap, but this is threatening to become a consoomer spiral; should I just stop trying to be a hipster and go back to whatever plastic shit? Or am I missing something??
