at the last minute i discovered that the entry level wheels i bought had 9.5mm dia wheel axles instead of 9/10mm so i've sent them back, the shop apparently took old wider spaced hubs and changed out the spacers on the rear hubs to offer them in different widths, not sure if 9.5x120mm is a thing, on modern track framesets you expect 9x100mm in the front and 10x120mm in the rear
i've decided on alpine iii spokes just for added bombproofness and potentially a little bit more stiffness, i don't mind the ~25g weight increase for the wheelset but i haven't ordered the wheel stuff yet
