I don't have many tips, but one would be to buy a safe panel oven and place some glava mats across the deck of the boat as extra insulation for the winter. And check the weather forecast! The first storm i encountered caught me off guard and shit flew out of my cabinets, stuff on my table slid from one side to the other for eternity and the noise... i have a small zodiac right above where i sleep and it made so much noise i couldn't sleep for a second. Now i have a storage unit with a sleeping mat nearby that i will use if any storms get too rough. I haven't done any fixing on my boat yet, so i can't help you much with that unfortunatly.
