>>1696997To be fair though there are some cases where physically bending rims is appropriate: if a metal rim is actually bent to the point that the spokes can't pull it back into round with acceptably balanced tension, sometimes the 'take the wheel to the back room where customers can't see you and smash it into the ground' method is the only thing you can do to make a wheel rideable again. Or if there's a dent in the sidewall there actually are/were specific tools made for bending them back out...
