today I hit up Stub Stewart to do some mtbing and built up a shitload more confidence as a MTB rider than I had before the day started. The adjustments I made to bar length (chopped the fuck out of it) and seatpost (dumped the dropper for a rigid) really helped out. One very short section has an idiotically fun set of features. Ramp -> table -> drop -> ramp -> table -> drop -> bigass berm -> table. I went from going balls-in-throat skreeee at the first drop to sending it after a few sessions. Some poor dude broke his neck on the black diamond freeride trail that I didn't even think of doing, because my skills are still meh. It was right where there's a gap you can jump or do a wallride, and I guess he went jump and rip. hope he's actually ok but it didn't look good as the local FD carried him out in a neck brace and he was just staring at the sky
