It looks to have a bmx chain installed poorly, which chain should I use? Should I change the Single Speed 'Kit' with a Gusset one from ChainReaction?
Secondly i'm really concerned about the safety of the quick release, the Brake side is just a flat plate, and the chain side is missing the derailleur hanger, however with this there is still no 'lock' to keep the axle in place. A good hard sideways knock on the Tyre has caused the brake side to become detached before.
lastly my friend having loved my bike, bought himself a 2014, and would like to go Single speed also, so I guess same question as above.
The 13' came as 36tx17t, and we where wanting something more like 36tx14t on the 14'
I don't know if there is a comparability issue with these kits and different wheels, both bikes are factory 8 speed.
The 14' has standard horizontal dropouts like a bmx with a standard non release axle and a chain side axle loader (chain tensioner)
Any input here appreciated
