Hey 4chin, so I am planning on commuting to work. I used to do it before when I live closer on a heavy and shitty city bike, but that was OK because the commute still took me 16 minutes or so. I moved a bit further away, and my commute is 11-12 KM now... so a clunky dutch style city bike is not gonna cut it.
I also have a gravel bike (pic related), which is a lot of fun and would definitely be useful here... however, it's a bit too nice to leave it parked outside if I decide to stop somewhere along the road, or we hang out elsewhere in the city for drinks after work. Bike theft is fucking huge in the Netherlands, and this bike would most definitely be a target. Even if it does not get stolen, it would certainly be banged around by other people while parking their bikes.
So, I think I need a third bike. I'm thinking of an old, unassuming road bike. How does one go about choosing a good one?. Something that won't get a whole lot of thieves attention, but that can help me in my commute... and also something with not too aggressive of a position, cos neck hurts like a bitch when I do that.
