>>1708441>matte black repaint on classic bikeYuck. Why do people do that.
the solid colour tires look bad too. As does that quill/riser combo, and the crank/pedals. You're not getting the sprung saddle for the money right?
I guess the one thing is, those wheels, I assume, are custom/newish, and could be pretty good. That would be why to buy the bike but i'd want to see how true they are, feel spoke tension, and test how well the braking/shifting works, see if there's play in the hubs. If they are perfect it's probably a reason to get this instead, because the other bike as a cheapish new model probably has pretty meh wheels.
The other bike is equally as ugly but in a less tryhard way, but with less potential. Neither of those racks are very good so I would rather have the extra $250 to buy some rather than have those. The braking system almost certainly works a lot better. But if you want these bikes for hills or to ride fast you should get something else anyway so that's not a big deal. The fenders are nice to have.
Better looking faux retro cruisers exist. I just personally wouldn't want a black or grey bike like that.
It's a test ride situation though. And go with your heart.
