In Saskatoon, Canada there is a refurbished truss bridge with wide sidewalk/bike lane on either side of the roadway and if you come down the hill on Victoria Ave to the bridge there are steel guard rails blocking the bike lane entrance to the bridge. It's right at the bottom of a steep hill to the river and the first time I rode down there I cooked my breaks trying not to run into it and die.
