Personally I wear most everything you can think of when riding, and that includes ski gear in the winter, baggies for mountain biking, casual attire when I'm going to hang out with friends, full kit when I'm going for a super serious road ride. Clothing choice is situational, and having the right choice of kit for the intended use makes rides more pleasant.
