I had a great mini adventure this weekend. I rode 150km to a town in the midlands, stayed with a warmshowers host (a couple) who gave me dinner and took me out to see a play by their local theatre group. I'd brought up a bottle of wine to say thank you but they acted as if I really didn't need to.
They'd put up a spare tent for me in the garden with an airbed, duvet and pillow.
Did a brevet the next day and then got the train home exhausted but really happy. What an amazing weekend, didn't cost a lot but will stay in my memory for a long time.
