Anyway, insert of the city center. Most lines converge onto the Main St. / St Joseph St. corridor. Important to have proper bus lanes in the areas where traffic is common. That way the bus gets an edge.
Also, here's a neat idea for small town bus systems: All lines arrive at the central stop (around 5th and Main, more or less where the train station would be) at about the same time, and wait for 5-10 minutes there. So you can easily change from any line to any other line, and reach any part of the city with just one convenient changeover.
