So I bought that $40 Marin Larkspur CS2
It's a 2012 Marin with Shimano V Brakes, EF51 Shifter, Tourney Front and Acera Rear derailleur, and Suntour XCT VE crank set. It has 700x32c front and 700x38c rear and the wheels have grooves where the pad runs. I think they're supposed to have 35C stock front and rear. Both wheels have quick releases.
I'm going to change the cables, seats, grips, maybe the shifter/trigger assembly (sunfaded), rear derailleur (broken), and chain (missing). Bearings seem okay but rear wheel has to get trued (hub is tight but touches brakes when rolling it home). I'm either gonna strip the finish to raw aluminum OR powder coat it after stripping it (buddy of mine works at a powder coating shop)
