If I was in a responsible person's cabinet in charge of the infrastructure, I would fund rails and cycling infrastructure in urban and suburban areas. I would work with congress to subsidize ebikes to bring their cost down to a real level. And mandate large bike racks in every city
I would order the destruction of all highways everywhere to be rebuilt and repurposed for emergency vehicles only.
Also offer a tax break for any city that trades in their useless sports stadiums for velodromes and public exercise venues.
