>>1848517>can breeze through flight training, actually passionate about it, can set my mind to it>but because my end goal is the airlines i have to sit in college for no reason>if college fucks me over i won't be able to get into a major airline without a degreeNo airline cares about a college degree, it's just a resume booster in the aviation job market right now. You've already committed to the student debt, but what I did was wait until I got to a regional, get an ATP for free, and then go to liberty or any other online university that will convert your certs into credit hours to basically "be done" with 2 years of college right out of the gate.
Regionals especially no one gives a fuck about your degree, and you're going to fly the line for a while anyways before you apply to the majors. If you REALLY want a degree (you don't need one) then just get the diploma in the hotel room while you're on the companies dime all online.
If you're able to, drop out and just start working on your certs. Get a real flying job, and start getting paid and building seniority rather than sitting in school doing nothing to further your career for 4 years.
