>>1978304They are just higher capacity busses. It's easier to stick more segments together and they can be slightly wider since they stay exactly in the center of the lane when on streets. They're also easier to power electrically for obvious reasons. Honestly, cities should just build BRT systems instead. They're more flexible and its easier to make incremental improvements to service.
