For the frame you want to look out for Brodie, Fat Chance, WTB, Merlin, Overbury's, Ibis, Salsa, Chas Roberts, Breezer, Ritchey, Grove, McMahon etc from 1985 - 1994, fillet brazing is usually a solid indicator that a steel frame is from the very top tier, Ti tubing by any of the names above and more is pretty much a nailed on guarantee of quality.
