anytime now...
what time was star trek set in?
Btw their "batteries" were written as extremely obscure and real life batteries that depend on electro chemical processes have theoretical limits that are still lower than hydrocarbons. You would need some kind of nuclear energy storage to surpass hydrocarbons and why the hell would you want to so badly anyways?!?!? Biofuels are none toxic (vegetable oil smoke does not cause cancer) and carbon neutral. Hydrocrabons are the perfect storage of energy, despite what neoliberal brainwashing wants you to think, and the reason they want you to think that is because batteries have to be produced in centralized factories while biofuel can be produced by anyone with a large container because biofuels can be produced by microbes like yeast, algae, or bacteria!
