>>1584142>>1584148>>1584183>>1584200Thanks for the info, I'll go into detail since these were long responses. First off my market (Honolulu) sucks. I've posted some really shitbrained questions here and others have confirmed this market is terrible even pre-covid. $200 to ship a bike here and I'm 95% leaving in 6 months so it's all temporary. In 2 months searching, apart from missing a Surly cross check for $450 because I don't have military base access, the "best deal" I missed was a Giant Contend 3 for $350. I had incredible luck getting a 2017 Fuji Sportif 2.5 for $225, but it was 56cm and I'm pretty sure the small size was contributing to what felt like knee tendonitis.
Had to settle on boring Trek fx 7.2 for $240, but my knees no longer feel like they're getting peeled off. I know it's entry level garbage for you guys but I just want something like that Fuji that fits me. Nicest bike I've ever owned and perfect for my needs. Second bike I have is $120 Dawes SST (one step above BSO) and it's great for my needs except I had two broken spokes within ten miles and lbs said probably should rebuild/replace wheel.
I have a third bike I was going to sell but now I'm trying to figure out if I can somehow sensibly swap its Campagnolo and Mavic rims (decent i think, AlexR500 apparently horrible) onto the Dawes. Retarded, yes, I need to start from the very basics and understand how hubs and wheels interact.
Going to try to post every single bike available to me right now to make it clear why I'm considering this Kilo. There are virtually no xl road bikes under $400 here
