>>1543260>>1543262Not sure which ones you're comparing, but I'm not sure you can generalize like that. Something like an F40PH is no bigger really than an F140. There are few outliers upwards in North America, like the gargantuan AC6000 on the main cargo lines, and there are a few outliers downwards in Europe on lines with particularly small loading gauges and/or particularly tight turns, but mainline locomotives aren't that different.
