5-10 you play outside in the suburbs with local kids, you play with balls and toys, and bike around the suburb looking for things to do
10-16 you stay indoors and play videogames because playing with a ball is boring now, and you can't go anywhere
16+ you can drive and start going out with your friends to do stuff
That 10-16 period is very formative for kids. That's middle school and most of highschool.
