be mentally prepared to spend $40,000+ if you want to change careers, but also understand it's going to be about two years of training full time until you can even consistently make money, then it's leapfrogging to better jobs before the music stops.
Unfortunately it's REALLY hard to find a job with less than 500 hours and significant multi/IFR time so your best bet is to bang out 750+ hours of instructing (2-ish years) then you can take your pick of 135 gigs to 1500 hours, then the regionals will pay somewhere from $75-100k first year, then you can decide whether to stick around for TPIC or jump ship to an ACMI or LCC
