Carbon Dualies got super light and fast even uphills and the conventional XC hardtail became seriously uncool. With a piece of the market dead the big bike manufacturers banged there heads together and forced the overpriced gravel meme on everyone and profitied by convincing Freds to get a third bike. FACT.
