I have a $80 hybrid that I use to commute four days a week, about 50 miles a week. Generally I service it myself. Recently I have been busy and lazy. I am considering getting it serviced professionally. The gears, brakes and derailleur definitely need adjusting. I suspect the headset might need looking at, the pedals need replacing and the hubs have never been cared for. What sort of service should I be looking at, if it's the only one I have for the next 6-12 months?
I have a few parts lying around. Pedals, cables and tubing. Would it be rude to say can you fit these for me, instead of using their components? I am not sure about the etiquette here.
