Looking to buy a used truck between 2012-2019
F150 and Tundra are my most favorite with Silverado coming in third. What is your favorite/preferred truck?
>Tundra Pros: "Lasts forever", rear window slides all the way down so even w/ a 5.5 bed on CrewCab you can still put things through the back window, Minimalistic/very basic interior/dash/electronics. Made more in America than Ford/GM.
>Tundra Cons: Gas milage sucks ass, more expensive but because it holds its value longer, drives not as smooth as the others in later years tho this is also kind of a pro if you like the feel of a real truck etc.
>F150 Pros: Anyone can work on a ford, better gas milage, hidden storage in behind rear seats with a simple "mod" -- (not just under like NPCs know), better radio/electronics than tundra on later years, not as expensive, a completely flat floor in the rear when the seats are up, great for dog beds etc.
>F150 Cons: Ford Transmission Paranoia /how long do they (transmissions) really last hit/miss/etc/russian roulette it seems. No vents/plugs in the backseat if theres a front/bench. (I want a front middle seat for more legroom, girl in middle, or my dog can lay flat in the front row.
>Silverado Pros: easier to find a used one with front/middle seat than Ford/Toyota, Very simple and nice interiors ( I like it), flat floor in back like ford but with extra storage built in too.
>Silverado Cons: plastic cheap parts, buttons, knobs, whether the bed latch or glovebox handle, shitty little things people bitch about. the seats are not as comfortable as f150. then with politics or just simply supporting America, GM took government bailout money and went overseas with it.
4x4 is not a must for me unless I move closer to snow land. I really need the bed a few times a year but don't want an SUV. Truck won't be a daily driver as we already have an SUV.
what do you think /n?
