Other centerpull brakes mount on posts like a cantilever would, but the post is in a different position. For a cantilever or v-brake, the post is below the brake track of the rim, and for a centerpull it's above. So they're not interchangeable. But cantilevers and v-brakes are. However, most cantilever brakes use short-pull brake levers, while most v-brakes use long pull, so you may have to get different levers if you switched brakes.
