>>1049912I finally watched Minami after having obsessively watched Yowamushi since season 1. It's different to Yowamushi in a lot of ways but overall I quite like it.
I kind of hope that they focus a little less on the races and follow through with the first couple of episodes themes of just exploring the city and surrounding areas on their bikes. I really liked that part and its something that Yowamushi really lacks. That they're all beginners is kind of annoying but it means that you don't get the issues of everyone having to explain everything each time to Onoda(who didn't know anything about cooperation with other teams at the start of day three of the Inter-High to both get ahead of the rest) as all of them are learning together.
Am kind of sick of waiting for the blue-eyed blonde who's in the opening and closing credits to show up.
The girls after the episode who give cycling tips for newbies are kind of helpful(although useless for my kid nieces because they're too young to read subtitles at the speed/level of this show) as it is a nice idea showing some basic concepts about bikes off for an audience who might be worried about buying a new bike and getting into trouble on the road.
Also the guy who instructs them always looks like he's on the eighth or ninth take for that shot and just wants to get it done so he can go home.
Also Fukuo is best girl.
