>>1194854Here in Santiago they have one of these (only one) converted to rubber tire traction and 3rd rail voltage and renamed NS-88. It was brought here after one of the system's original Alsthom NS-74 trainsets was destroyed on an bomb attack during the military dictatorship.
Apparently the traction system they installed on it was shit and has been basically rebuilt from the ground up. They nicknamed it "El Mexicano" or "La Gallina" (The Hen) cuz it spends most of it's time "sitting on it's pen".
