>>1325188>M size if I'm 180cmAlways size down, not up, so since M is max 179 and large is 188 I would go M. It would suck arse if the frame is too big for you but it wouldnt suck if it was on the smaller side.
My wife sized up on her bike and she had to stand on her toes when trying to sit on the frame, wasnt much fun at red lights.
About the gravel part, all bikes can ride gravel.
Pic related, my Btwin Triban 500 with 25-622 tires going offroad, wood paths and also gravel. This were my first bikepacking attempt and I had a lot of fun on it for 2 years, daily.
The way you're looking at bikes are really weird. If you are in a hurry in the morning, the bike wont matter much if you arent fit enough for it anyway. Check GCN's youtube video on dropbar vs straightbar bikes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6-yz1qJrUcIf you think you're going to be riding mostly road/sidewalk with a little bit of gravel and city riding, a regular Road bike is all you need.
