If you want to make it that distance with a couple passengers, I'd suggest a Bonanza, Centurion, or something in that realm. If you want to be economical, the Cessna 172 is a fantastic option though people think of it as a boring plane and it won't make it 1000 miles on a single leg. If you want something fast I'd suggest a Lancair, but price and range won't be on your side. You gotta think more realistically or whip out a bigger chunk of change my dude.
