you have to remove the crank to put it on
so you need a crank puller as well, like pic related, and a thin socket that fits it to remove your crank bolt
also if the crank is rough you could change the bottom bracket too now. Campagnolo is a meme size but you can still buy them.
i'm reasonably certain that a 111mm centaur bottom bracket, english thread, is the right one.
