>>1804631yes but i want to buy just the 0.5 meter link sets with new user coupons to save $. inline barrel adjusters would work but they're a bit bulky. i thought maybe i could have an end cap (jagwire open end cap with ~6mm outer diameter chamfered to a ~5mm flat top section) only on the regular housing and that the cable tension would be enough to hold it together in the axial direction at least. maybe a tight wrap of kapton tape would keep it from bending or moving sideways too much at the junction where the inner cable/liner is vulnerable.
