Nobody would be able to use it though. You can't just take the human body at sea level, then drop them 8,848.86 meters above sea level. It takes weeks of acclimatizing the body to be able to handle the summit and even then, most people seriously struggle and rely on oxygen tanks.
They should just leave Everest alone now. It's a joke at this point. A tacky tourist trap, just one that costs tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars per climber to do. And it's not like they do much. Sure they have to navigate some extremely challenging terrain, acclimatize and not die but they are basically paying for EVERYTHING to be done besides using their own legs. Gone are the days of legends like Tenzing Norgay, Gongbu and Dölf Reist.
