those things have entire rooms of equipment set aside running their oil filtration, fuel filtration, water sanitation, air conditioning and ballast tanks for stability. one of the more interesting things i saw was the pneumatic starter system, which is two giant compressed air tanks the size of those on aircraft carrier launch catapults that they use to get the main crankshaft spinning when they *rarely* shut down the main engine for maintenance.
