Basically every airline on the planet is looking for ways to retire their 747s and A380s. And buying used + retrofitting is slightly cheaper than buying new.
Those 2 factors together are the reason the lines of the Queen and King of the skies won't last really that much longer. That space is better used on wide body, twin engine planes.
