As the costs of aircraft get cheaper the FAA will start loosening license requirements and medical evals, letting more people fly in general even as huge airports suffer. And huge airports should suffer because they suck. This will become more obvious as jets and VTOLs become affordable, increasing the appeal and accessibility of flight in general. It works with trainfags anyway since smaller airports are more likely to work with local cities on transit connections to the downtown area since if a city is going to subsidize a general airport why not cut out the rental car jews?
