Most of the car economy is a broken window fallacy.
You could say it’s good to break someone’s window because it keeps the window makers employed, but if you didn’t break their windows people would spend the money on something else and keep other people employed.
There’s a lot of blue collar jobs available in renewable energy and rail construction. And they’re better jobs.
