got my first bicycle around june and been pedalling under the sun until a few weeks ago under the rain, i've recently spotted rust around the pedals where you screw it.

-what grease/lub should i consider to prevent rusts next time
-should i consider getting a chain cleaning kit already? i've been checking how people clean on youtube and they always seems to use kits that cost 60-100€ with brushes that seems to wear pretty quickly that seems more like sponsored products than people using their own stuff
any tips welcome
