The sun is getting quite strong and will melt the ice on the roads at -10C. The side streets are going to be a minefield in the next week or so with thick channels of ice interspersed with ruts melted all the way to the pavement. The weather is looking good next week (single digit negative Celsius, moderate wind) so I might be able to set a new PR for consecutive riding days.
I broke another wire in my heated glove which I fixed before heading out this morning. I can see why there aren't many heated stretch liner gloves for sale. Too much strain on the connections when pulling them off, so they'll break eventually. I've worn these ones quite a bit, all 56 this year and at least 50 rides last year.
