While it's perfectly fine to ride with flat pedals, consider getting a pair of MTB flats so you get better traction and a larger area to push your feet down on. Those starter pedals are all kinda size small-medium and you look like you have a big bike and thus, probably big ole feets. Can direct to some large pin flat choices if requested.
