>>1666816I see where you’re coming from though let’s not forget that front suspension bikes were relatively new (and expensive) in the early 90’s. I think Specialized did front suspension in 92’ for the first time. Two years later, front suspension was still new and prices out for a lot of people.
To add some merit to my point, your example retailed for $2,000 where as this M2 FS I picked up yesterday retailed for $4,300 AND their first full suspension bike offered in 94’. At that point the entire industry was shifting toward front/full suspension and rigids left to the bottom end bikes in most cases. But...yes, the old full rigid looks outstanding. If I ever come across a 1985 Stumpjumper Team I will pay the premium.
