I love the Jandd frame pack. This is the large size, which I think is worth it if your bike will fit it. I’ve tried just about every type of bike bag and this is the only kind I really use now. I take a backpack if I need to pick up groceries, but the frame pack holds my lock, pump, wallet, phone, keys, tools, shit I find on the side of the road. I think adding small to medium sized saddle or handlebar bags are the next best thing if you need to carry more and don’t want to use a backpack, but adding a shit ton of weight like groceries to a normal bike makes it slow and twitchy. I built a grocery bike once out of a Schwinn Cruiser Supreme with that Huge Ass Wald basket, but some slip-slap scalawag stole it from behind my house, I still miss that bike :/
