Normies buy a bike, then they just ride it for short distances and that's all, and whatever works for longest and doesn't feel bad to ride becomes a bike that they will recommend to their friends. If you ask a dutch bike owner why did they buy it they won't go on about IGHs and cruiser bars, they just say they needed a bike and this is what they saw people ride.
