I went on my first railtour last Saturday. UK railtours "The Magic Carpet".
Got up at ungodly hours to catch it at waterloo. Was pulled by two class 73s, including the famous "Dick Mabutt". 66 pulled it into Waterloo from the back
Crawled very slowly to Axminister, stopping for 30 minutes + at each passing place. Most of the people got off at Axminister to go to Seaton tramway museum, i stayed on to Exeter, where i wandered round for a few hours .
On the way back , it was an hour late to Exeter Central because the 73s stalled on a hill between their and St Davids. Staff went ballistic at these 2 normies who got on at woking during the return trip. Only had my shitty phone's camera so unfortunately not many good photos.
Also Mark 2 seats are very uncomfortable if you are bit fat, which most of the passengers where , but didnt seem to mind
