Picked this pile up for $5. Front derailleur was mangled and I can't find a 25.4 bottom pull triple. So I pulled it off and threw the chain on the biggest ring Now it's a 5 speed instead of a 15. It has a broken spoke that really should be replaced but I really can't be bothered to do so. I found a really cheap set of NOS tires and threw on some bar tape and a saddle I had lying around.
I have a nice gravel bike but it's kind of fun to ride an absolute piece of shit every once in a while. It's also nice to have a bike that I'm not afraid of having stolen if I leave it locked up somewhere for more than a few minutes. I also wouldn't really be too upset if someone did decide to steal it.
It needs a few little things done to be a bit more solid and comfortable but overall I'm kinda pleased with how this horrible old thing rides.
