>>1683578ribble eliminator al was underrated imo but they discontinued it. they still make a more urban style reynolds 725 steel bike with 38mm tire clearance. avoid smaller brands like 8bar and similar, i don't know if they're all bad but some of them are just unacceptable. for example on reddit which is more US-centric they might not always bully others for their bike but most of the experienced riders would avoid smaller brands like aventon and such. for example at 4:48 in this vid you can see how the wheel doesn't sit straight in the fork, and it's not just the fork the whole bike is probably wonky. issues like this are considered to be normal with cheap low tier frames, the average person doesn't even seem to notice:
