Looking for a touring bike for weekend trips that will double as my comuting bike. Planning some serious long distance rides in the future, the entire length of Japan and UK. Been looking around and found this Trek 520. Only downside I can see is mechanical disk breaks and 14kg. Any advice, I've only ever owned a hardtail mtb so I've got no idea about road bikes
