>>1531255I have two sets of R8000 shifters, one set has about 8,000 miles on them and the other about 5,000, neither set have had any problems. I've read about plenty of R7000 shifters shitting the bed and nothing about R8000 shifters failing despite them being "the exact same" according to lots of loud voices on the internet. The new R8000 cranks do have a habit of separating along the driveside crank arm though, for me that was a non-issue since I immediately replaced the crank with a Quarq so I have no personal experience.
